John 14:12-14
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.
I never had a strong urge to read the word, until now. It’s amazing. There is so much wisdom and knowledge. As Paul says in 2 Timothy, “All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” The word has everything we need. It’s been amazing being able to read the bible daily. Started my journey with 2Timothy, Titus, and now onto 1Timothy. There is so much joy in reading the bible. It is one of our strongest weapons. Thank you God for your Scripture.
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters: give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
1 Timothy 6:2
Chains be broken lord. Cut any strong ties to this world. We are at your feet willing to glorify you. You are my right hand, I will not be shaken. You have made known to me the paths of life and you fill me with joy in your presence.
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires,
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.
2 Peter 1:3-9
God has given us all that we need. We do not look to things of the world to lead us and guide us. He has given us his power and wisdom.
You fill us with your love
Overwhelm us with your love
You take us from the ashes
seat us with princes.
It’s what you do.
I have no words to describe the amazing woman you are and that you are going to become. It seems crazy that our friendship has been so short but so fruitful. You always encourage me, you lift me up and challenge me. We’ve seen each other’s worst sides of each other(we’ve had many) and our best sides. We can talk for ages about God and the Word and still have so much to say. Even though I may not show my appreciation to you everyday I am so blessed to have you in my life. God has blessed me with a sister that I can grow with and fight the good fight with. Thank you for being honest, real, and dealing with me. God is molding you everyday to be a woman of God as he is with me. Lets continue to show people all around us the love of Christ and be bold in our actions. Thank you for the pick me up!
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
